SMS Terms and Conditions

The program

AthleticsMD Meeting Notifications is the text-message program of AthleticsMD LLC, and its only sender. It sends transactional text messages about video meetings with AthleticsMD LLC to people who booked a meeting, or were added to one with their permission. The messages are:

Every message begins with "AthleticsMD:" and ends with "Reply STOP to opt out".

We do not send marketing, promotions or health information by text. Reminders are sent at the moment they are due, which for an early or late meeting can be outside the usual daytime hours: a reminder that comes after the meeting it is for would be no use to you.

How you agree to receive texts

You agree by giving us your mobile number for a meeting: by ticking the optional text-message box on our opt-in form or on one of our booking pages (a number is asked for when you book, but texts go to it only if you tick the box; before October 6, 2026, entering your number on a booking page was how you agreed), by ticking the box for reminders of your own meetings when you sign up for an account to host meetings, or by allowing the meeting's organizer to add your number when they invite you. When you tick the box we text you once to confirm what you agreed to. The box is never ticked for you, and agreeing is never a condition of any purchase or of attending a meeting. You can reply STOP at any time.

You can also agree by voice, on a call or video meeting with a AthleticsMD LLC representative or a meeting organizer. They read you this in full before asking:

AthleticsMD LLC can send you text messages about this meeting: a confirmation, reminders before it with the link to join, and a notice if it is moved or cancelled. You'll get about 4 messages per meeting: a confirmation, and reminders the day before, 30 minutes before and when it starts. Message and data rates may apply. Consent is optional and not a condition of any purchase. Do you agree to receive these text messages at this number?

Texts begin only after you say yes, and the consent is recorded with its date, time and number before any message is sent. A number without a recorded consent is never texted.

Message frequency

Message frequency varies: usually about 4 messages for each meeting (a confirmation, and reminders 24 hours before, 30 minutes before and when it starts), and one more if it is rescheduled or cancelled.

Costs

Message and data rates may apply. AthleticsMD LLC does not charge for these messages; your mobile carrier's rates for text messages and data apply.

How to stop

Reply STOP to any message to stop all texts from us. You can also reply STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT, OPT OUT or REVOKE. We send one message confirming you are unsubscribed, and nothing after it. Your opt-out is recorded against your phone number, so it holds however many times your number appears in our records. To receive texts again, reply START.

Carriers

Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery depends on your carrier and device.

Privacy

Your mobile number and your consent are handled as our Privacy Policy describes. We do not sell, rent or share them with anyone for marketing.

Changes

If these terms change, we update this page and its effective date. Continuing to receive messages after a change means you accept it; you can reply STOP at any time.
